We’re excited to share photos from Valerie & Jordan’s big day last month! They were the winners of our BIG giveaway contest, and they won over $15,000 of prizes and gift certificates from all sorts of local vendors! Jordan’s entry was the sweetest, and helped them win big. Here’s just a small part of it :
“We have a small family, just Val and I, and our handsome little pug named Miles, his age now nearly half the lifespan of our decade long relationship. We’ve moved up from our modest small town beginnings in Salamanca, NY to what we considered the Big City, here in Buffalo. We call our cramped little apartment in the Elmwood village home, dreaming that someday we’ll have the capital to invest in a place of our own. More than anything, our delayed engagement was postponed over financial reservations, our love not the question on our minds, but money, money, money. We are unquestionably in love and have been for quite some time, as you might have guessed. Finally feeling financially comfortable enough to bunker down for a ring, I proposed over dinner atop the CN Tower after spending the afternoon playing board games, buying used books and drinking way too much coffee at Café Aroma. She said yes, in a flood of tears instantaneously becoming my fiancée and I her’s, minus one e. I like these new titles, but they’ll only last until we can afford a wedding (hopefully sooner than later).
Already it seems there will be more than a handful of cost cutting compromises, but let’s forget for a second and fast forward a bit. Let’s imagine 30, 40, 50 years from now, Val and I still a loving pair, now that cute old wrinkled-up couple everyone knows. We want to remember this day as the biggest, lovingest bash that ever was, still telling anyone who’ll listen just how wonderful it all was, how many of our loving friends and family attended, devoured the delicious food and danced the night away, arm in arm, volume on 11. The perfect wedding. We’re in love and like our own grandparents still kicking, we’ll continue to be in love. So, let’s celebrate, and with your help, let’s make it a party for the ages. What do you say?”
They had a stunning wedding, from start to finish, and we think it was the party for the ages that Jordan & Val dreamt of from the beginning. Special thanks to City Lights Studio for sharing these sneak peeks, and all of the other fabulous vendors who made this day happen (listed below).
